His Teddy Bear
Chubby Teddy, who is ironically enough a bear shifter, has finally found her mate. There’s one big problem though. He doesn’t like what he sees.
Reece never imagined his chosen mate would be a woman with extra curves, but all it takes is one taste to realize the benefits and turn his world upside down.
Their arguments are many, their lust for each other fiery, but while he’s ready to for the next step, Teddy keeps running. What will it take to win her trust and heart?
And an even better question; will they ever make it to a bed?
I did like this one. Yes, he was an ass in the beginning, but I do think that he made up or it and showed her in so many ways that he wanted her for more than just the mating call. Lots of push/pull, but it was understandable for her, but wish it didn't last as long. She was gone a week before he found her. Good read.
Marie Smith reads the audiobook and does a fine job. This is a simple story of two fated mates meeting and NOT getting that joyful lust that you/they would expect. It was short but didn't need to be any longer. Teddy sees his face and even though he doesn't say his crappy first impression out loud, his face says it all. She's chubby, she's short, she's not blond. So she does what any self respecting girl has to do... and gives him the brush off!Reece will spend the rest of the story pulling his
A very enjoyable, hot book of shifters.Teddy, a chubby bear shifter meets her mate, Reece, a wolf shifter. Reece is stunned cause he is expecting a tall, slim wolf not a short, chubby bear. Things go downhill from there.Reece becomes desperate to change Teddy's mind about him, as he has changed his about her.A lovely story of a desperate male trying to convince his independent woman she is his.
Really cute and hot read....
This short story is surprisingly cute and sweet. Langlais did a fine job of writing a heavier character who loves and values herself, but still struggles with the decades of social conditioning and ingrained hatred she's absorbed from others about her size. Shockingly, you never get over this, and anyone who claims to not understand it is being disingenuous. (Ask almost any girl or woman what's the worst thing that could happen to her and most will tell you it's getting fat. Yeah.) It chips at
Basically the book can be summarized into a curvy woman fighting self esteem issues and a judgmental douchebag changing his views about curves.Seriously. The heroine kept telling she was comfortable with her height and weight- yet every second she doubted and whined. On the other hand, the hero calls her chubby and midget when they meet; and the book ends with him being in love with his "chubby teddy bear".I love curvy heroines BUT I hate the self loathing and body shaming I get in these books.

3.5 starsAs far as novellas go, I really liked His Teddy Bear. It was cute and it was fun and it was all just so entertaining!...I loved the heroine and could totally identify with her...I liked the hero too( in particular, all his convincing of the heroine, lol), though would have loved to get more of him...his background, as well as his point of view. The story was a little short on plot...there is a main storyline, I just felt like with the limit on pages, it wasn't as delved into as it couldI did like this one.
