Relation In Pursuance Of Books L'Avare

Critique Epithetical Books L'Avare
Read 3.5 dramas out of 6.My absolute favourite was Les Précieuses ridicules !! I was reading it at class, and I couldn't help laughing out loud. Molière made my day haha. But seriously, I am in love with his style and characters. I'm sure I'll finish all of these plays, I am just taking a little break. Passe une bonne journée!

I am in love with this book! Moliere's characters have the best personalities (which is logical, because he was always idealising a certain character feature e.g. someone, who's penny-pinching). The main character in this book is Harpagon - an old widower, caring more about money than about his children and anything else really. His son Kleant - stubborn, has a lot of arguments with father, because of how different they are - is in love with Marianne and his daughter Elise - less stubborn than

Everybody should read, at least, one play by Moliere.

A very nice comedy that I enjoyed. Moliere was using a lot the models from his contemporary society, slightly exaggerated, to create vivid comedy plays. It is likely that the same people that inspired him to create those plays were also amused when they saw them on stage. The reason I rated it 4 was because it is not as good as "The middle class gentleman".My copy of this book is in Romanian.

One of Moliere's finest French farces.

One should not live to eat, but eat to live.(It sounds better in French. It's funnier.)

This play did not captivate me, especially because of the weak plot. Positive: various witty passages, especially in the misunderstood communication, cf. between Harpagon and Cléante (both talk about their treasure, but mean something else), the mediation attempt. "Warenar" by the Dutch author Hooft is more witty at various points. Striking is the great control in space and time: barely 1 day.
